Skopelos is the largest of the
emerald islands of Sporades with crystal clear
blue beaches to explore!
The
island is 17 kilometers long
and 8 kilometers wide, full of pine forests that make it ideal
for walking and hiking.
There
are two large
settlements: Hora
(Skopelos Town) with 4,000
residents on the east coast; and the hill village of Glossa with 1,300
residents, close to Loutraki port on the west coast. The main
road connects Skopelos Town to Glossa/Loutraki port. In addition
there is another road that is under construction with a magnificent
view though... so stay tuned!

You may
use
the public bus service
(with frequent routes), or you can rent a car or scooter - there are
several rental shops both in Skopelos Town and Glossa/Loutraki. In
addition we suggest trying the boat tour (from Skopelos port) - if
you are lucky with the weather - to the best beaches of the island!
Skopelos is famous of its enchanting view when you are entering the
harbour, the 360 churches, the white painted houses and the narrow
paved alleys.
It is a traditional island known for its relaxed atmosphere.
GoSkopelos.com Team wishes
you to enjoy your stay!
