Skopelos Churches & Monasteries
Skopelos is full of churches & monasteries. Many of them are
located at Hora (Skopelos Town). So if you walk the small paved alleys
you may see them almost at every turn you take! Some of them are open
during the year, however many of them are not open - only their feast
day.
We will do our best to review all of them! In the meantime you may

Monastery of Zoodochos Pigi
This monastery of Zoodochos Pigi is located at Skopelos Town.
It has an icon painted from to Agios Loukas the Evangelist and a superb
18th century church called Panagia Eleftherotria (Virgin Mary the
'liberating'). |
